45,000 mobile apps "on standby"

Huawei Consumer Business CEO Yu Chengdong said at the press conference that due to Washington's restrictions on US companies providing services to Huawei, Huawei cannot pre-install Google apps on new phones. However, Huawei has an application platform as a substitute, with as many as 45,000 mobile apps to choose from, and Huawei will invest one billion US dollars (approximately HK$7.8 billion) to encourage the development of Huawei's exclusive mobile app ecosystem.
